Westcomb Men's Sphere Top (Black, Small) Review

This pullover has a great material and excellent construction. It's very stretchy and soft. I do have a bit a problem with the sizing. I think Westcomb has some solid, simple designs and great construction and materials, but they need to work on their sizing a bit. I tried a Large Mirage jacket and it was very baggy. Even with a puffy midlayer it was a little too baggy, with no insulating layer it was huge. I assume they needed to size it a little large because the eVent has no stretch. I bought a Large Apoc jacket that fits great with or without a midlayer, perhaps the slight stretch of the neoshell allows a tighter fit. I bought this Sphere pullover in a large and if I didn't look at the tag, I'd think it was a medium. It is a little too tight around the torso and armpits. I think the sleeves are an inch or two too long while the torso is an inch or two too short. Despite the slightly strange dimensions, wearing it directly against the skin is comfortable if a little snug. I can fit it over a lightweight baselayer but the microfleece inner fabric and the snug fit makes it difficult to use as a second layer. For this price from Amazon, I think I'll keep it. You can't find a better price on a Polartec Power Stretch pullover of this quality. I just wish that clothing companies would match their sizes across their product lines.
