I bought this bar for squatting, and it is just what I needed. It would also work well for bench pressing, curling--anything you want to do with it. It's well-chromed. I've had it a number of months now and it hasn't shown any signs of rust or flaking off. It's a good heavy-duty bar. The bearings on the ends are good. It's well knurled. Great bar for the price!
