Holds water well. This pack is not water proof and hardly water resistant. I fish in alaska all summer and this pack gets water in it on misty days if you're out too long. I didn't even open the pack it sat on my boat all day zipped up and when I got back to camp the back was soaked inside. All my flies were wet. I even sent it back to get replaced after the seams blew out after one season of use. In Belize it would keep moisture just mainly from condensation and salt would stay inside the pack ruining hooks and soon grew mold (there less than a week). It would be better to have a mesh bag than this b/c at least that would dry after it got wet this is great for holding water and growing fungus spores. if you want to grow shrooms on the go buy this 100 dollar dark moist pack.
