Most of my climbing is bouldering (indoor and out) so I needed a new shoe that was more aggressive and allowed me the edge capabilities my other failed to allow. I had never tried Mad rock before but from my research they run true to size so I bought a 12.5 (street shoe 13) for a more aggressive fit as I needed it. It was a painful shoe to break, in mostly in my toe area since I have longer toes, but once it did it is amazing! I don't regret the sizing one bit. Remember, these are aggressive competition shoes so I wouldn't recommend them for a new climber as they won't get most use of it's edge and amazing toe gripping power. If you're considering purchasing this shoe for longer pitches and lead climbing I suggest getting your normal street shoe size and you want more comfort, but would honestly look at something more comfortable like the flash

The concave sole in shoe is really amazing and fits like nothing else. All the power is directed to the big toe (which I like) and it just fits like a glove after it has been broken in. I thought the white top (power flex) of the show was a cotton-like material that would capture sweat, but it's a synthetic that stretches a lot to conform with your toes which is good. I am loving the shoe and have started pushing myself on higher rater climbs (v 6/7). The shoe is solid and obviously will do better with a better skilled climber. I highly recommend this shoe for edgeing and difficult lead/boulder problems. Once the break in is period is done (about 4 or 5 days of climbing) it's amazing. Choose your sizing wisely as it will be a hard break in but worth while.

Cons:
Heel for some reason doesn't hook as well as I thought. Might be me, but other shoes on same climbs didn't slip and these do.
Difficult break in. I suggest taping up your toes to help.
Attracts chalk like no other for some reason.

Honestly, I bought the shoe because I got it on sale and regret not buying two pairs, but if I can't get it for cheap again I will probably go with the la sportiva solutions next time. These shoes are amazing and at the right price worth every dollar.
