Bought this because I wanted a good size pack for traveling. This fits the bill pretty good. It loads from the top, however, it also has access to the main compartment from the bottom. The bottom of the main compartment is cinched closed and can be accessed from inside the zipped pocket on the bottom front of the pack. This pocket can also carry small items you want easy access to.

Zippered pocket on the top flap is accessed from the outside of the pac has a clip tether for keys or whatnot.

The internal frame is a flat aluminum bar that slides into a pocket inside the pack. If I was carrying this bag on a plane, I may consider leaving that at home to avoid problems at security.

The main compartment has a pocket that will fit a large laptop computer. However, it is not padded in anyway. You may want to use a sleeve or other protection

There are mesh pockets on each side that will fit water bottles. One has a bungee with a sliding lock, the other a couple of Velcro loops to secure things. There are narrow, deep zip pocket on each side that I guess are actually for slackline ratchets, but could be used for anything really.

Lots of straps to cinch this bag up. Large padded hip belt with a 2" buckle. Lots of adjustability in the shoulder straps.
