I bought this ball as a gift for my father who wanted a ball that could really take a good line on the pins. After a good deal of research, I arrived at this ball. In my research, it came up that this is the reinvention of the 'Danger Zone' ball from some years ago, a ball that is talked about with amazing reverence. Some say it revolutionized the industry. In any case, it was a very high performance ball, and though there might be a few out there that can out-do it now, it is still a very good ball and now it is listed at a very reasonable price.

I've had the opportunity to watch a few games with it. My father has a very traditional approach and release. I have to say that its pretty easy to get this ball to turn over sharply without having to be a cranker, one of those guys that puts a whole lot of spin on the ball. If I was more concerned about my own score, I'd probably consider buying another one of these for myself.

In terms of technical stuff, it has a weighted core in about the shape of a light bulb and a reactive resin cover stock. These are nothing revolutionary at this point, but it still works nicely. This will sound obvious, but the stock is very hard, even for your average bowling ball, and it seems to give the pins just a little more action. I've never seen this bounce off a pin, significantly like some other balls. It always seems to win and make the pins do all the moving.

Once again, this is a superb ball ball. My father is incredibly happy with it, and so it was a very good gift. Thanks Brunswick.
